Please attend a community discussion on Latino American historic contributions. This event will be held on Wednesday May 4, 2016 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Moore Branch of the Tacoma Public Library (located at 216 South 56th Street-just west of the intersection 56th street and Pacific Avenue).Participants will view the PBS film documentary: "500 Years of Latino American History: Peril and Promise". Antonio Sanchez, PhD (Centro Latino Board member and Assistant Director of Government Relations, Central Washington University) will lead a discussion summarizing the Latino American experience from 1980 to the present. Centro Latino staff will provide information on summer learning educational programs for youth. The program will end with a question and answer session and enjoyment of a light taste treat and conversation.
